Two-pack Friday Special!
I've done plenty of traveling in my day, and unless you're a talented movie star, a successful executive, or a bungling banker flush with bailout money, you'll end up in slightly dodgy hotels sooner or later. I was in a place once, the keys were so old they were carved from flint - who knows how many times they've been copied, lost, pocketed by sacked staff...
Simple answer: doorstop.
Better answer: doorstop alarm!
The siren on this is VERY loud, a high-pitched warble that can pierce even the deepest sleep. The good news is that if you need it a bit less loud, a simple piece of tape over the speaker will cut it down to something more reasonable. But if you're upstairs and the alarm is protecting a door on the other side of the house, you'll still hear it! (And the intruder will hear nothing else for awhile...)
This Thingy is deceptively simple, but has a lot of advantages - there's no need to drill holes in anything to install it. It's super-light and easy to pack, so it can go anywhere. And beyond making a noise, it also blocks entry like any other doorstop. So even hearing-impaired intruders are still thwarted!
It isn't just for travelers, either. Tuck it under the fridge door to catch diet cheaters, or use at home to nick young miscreants trying to sneak out of the house at night. Or, just glue the switch down and hold one of those "rave" parties them kids all seem to enjoy so much these days... don't forget, these come in two-packs, so you've got options!
You'd better grab yours now, they won't be here tomorrow!
